Iowa Trout Map

I just picked up the new Iowa Trout Map. Big improvement from the old ones. Lots of good info and pictures. There is even a picture of me in the map this year. That was a nice rainbow caught on a streamer, it had some nice color.

I know you can get one at Ace Hardware and the Decorah Chick Hatchery in downtown Decorah. I’m sure the Fish Hatchery would also have them. I owe it all to the photographer. He takes great pictures.
I live 3 hours away from Decorah and picked up a map last weekend. I only looked at it a minute and liked the way the streams are marked, but it didn’t look like the names/numbers of roads were marked. Where I live everything is straight and square, not like NE Iowa. I need those names, I struggle the way it is to get from one stream to another.
Good point. It can be a little tricky to get around with no names. Maybe next time they will and some names like before.
