Northeast Iowa is fishing better then ever.  Even though the weather has been extremely warm, there has still been great bug life and active fishing around the streams.  The water is at perfect levels on most streams and you find fish active everywhere.  Today a father and son duo took up the sport of fly fishing for the first time.  They learned how to cast, read water, and rig their rod.  They did an excellent job for first timers.   The duo each caught a Brookie, Brown, and Rainbow trout on the stream.  The Dad had a “Triple Crown” on the day, while the Son started us off with the first 3 fish of the day.  The weather was warm, so most of the day was spent working the riffles at low depths.  If your looking to fish the Northeast Iowa area this is the time to do it.
