The catching was beyond expectation, and the learning experience even better than that. The lessons in mending will help me catch lots more fish back home. Thanks for making the effort to help a not quite as agile as he used to be flyfisherman have a great time on a beautiful stream. For a few hours I didn't think about the surgery I had scheduled the next day. That all turned out benign, and I am back home in Louisiana and recovering nicely. Saw a huge mature bald eagle on the drive down to Highlandville. We went to the Eagle Center in Wabasha on thursday, and saw some more. Really beautiful country and very nice people. I only looked at it a minute and liked the way the streams are marked, but it didn't look like the names/numbers of roads were marked. Where I live everything is straight and square, not like NE Iowa. I need those names, I struggle the way it is to get from one stream to another.
